"I've never been the kind to ever let my feelings show,
And I thought that bein' strong meant never losin' your self-control,
But I'm just drunk enough to let go of my pain."

•HISTORY: Vallery Tegan Sullivan was born into the small town of Butler, Alabama on a warm summer night. Right away she took to music. Music of all sorts, but as being she lived in the south, mainly country. With that love came the talents of singing and playing. So in her younger years she took piano lessons. She was a natural, and the best part was, she wasn't afraid to express herself with the music. Her would occasionally play the guitar for her and always sang along with what he played. Of course, she grew up romping all over Butler, and she was forever getting in trouble for small things. It wasn't that hard to do in a small town where everyone knew everyone that lived in the town.
One night her the Sullivan family was traveling to Meridian, which was a slightly larger town about thirty minutes away. They were going to see the nut cracker ballet at the local theater in Meridian. On the trip home they were in a wreck with a drunk driver and that's when everything changed for all four of them.
Vallery was only twelve when she lost her sight. Her and her father, who were both sitting on the same side of the car got the worst of the damage. Terrance only came out with a broken leg and a bad gash across his cheek, but Vallery lost her sight and gained scars and nicks and bruises. Her mother and brother were find though.
When she woke in the hospital, she realized that she couldn't see. The doctors told them there was a chance that it was only temporary, but after a year of hopes and prayers, nothing changed. That's when Val fell into a really bad bought of depression. She kept herself constantly locked up in her room, with nothing but her CD player to listen to music. She was stuck in this world of perpetual darkness, and it wasn't going to go away. She had to take special classes to help her learn how to read braille and use her other senses to make up for her lost one, and she caught on easily enough, but what she missed most of all was her piano.
So she taught herself how to play the piano blind. It wasn't as hard as she thought it would be, and it filled some of the hole that was in her. She pushed herself even more after that. She spent years training her ear and her hands, and Malachi was thoughtful enough to teach her a little on the guitar too, but she wasn't as skilled with it as she was the piano. Through the years she developed into a beautiful musician, with skills. That's when someone recommended Madison Music Academy. Her parents thought maybe this would help her.
Val was a little hesitant about it at first, but then she remembered that she had always dreamed of being a famous musician. This was what she needed to get her start. A well known music academy would be just what she needed. So she agreed, and she now finds herself at Madison Music Academy.

•PERSONALITY: Vallery likes being around people, even if she's just sitting and listening. She hates being lonely in her dark dark world. Most people see her as really clingy, but it's not that she's clingy. They just don't understand what it's like to be lost in a world of darkness and no one's there to talk to. It's a little unnerving really. At least for her.
However there are times when it's best to leave her alone. She has a very volatile temper. Her parents say it's the Irish in her, which she doesn't doubt since her father seems to have the same temper. When she's mad or upset she usually just goes and hides somewhere where she won't be bothered.
She is kind of shy around new people, and she doesn't talk all that much to strangers, but once you get to know her and her you she warms up a little and she enjoys your company.

•RPSAMPLE: This is from another site I'm on. Hope you enjoy:
Cascata River. The river that created the Neustria and Freyrgard border. He looked around thoughtfully as he sat there on top of his horse's back. He had escaped, he could be that thankful, but at what cost? What happened to Tatianna? he had left her. He wished with all his heart it was her that was here now instead of him. At least then she could be back home with her family and be somewhat happy. But now she was stuck in that miserable hell hole of a cell all by herself. Because he'd thought he could get them out. He felt his heart constrict as he thought of her. He looked down to the rushing water in thought before he slowly climbed down from the horse's back and untacked it.
He knew what he had to do now. He was going to start a rebel group, and he would get Tatianna back. He looked around the river before he crouched down and got him some water before he stood and wandered on trying to find a place where he could set up a rebel camp. He knew he wasn't the only one who was sick of Ceolman's reign. He wanted it to end. He thought of Tatianna for a moment allowing his anger to seep through he took his sword that Vanessa had somehow stolen for him and swung at an innocent tree as he let out a yell of frustration. He had hit the tree so hard that the sword was stuck. Valentine closed his eyes and slowly sunk down to the ground and watched his horse from a far.
The first thing he was going to need to do was shave. They would have posters of him up, but the thing was that he would have a beard and mustache in that poster. He had to make sure that he kept a good clean look when he was in the villages. So he went to his pack and dug around for some soap and a dagger, and he set to work to get rid of the scruffy beard that had grown out over the year and a half of being stuck in that cell.
Once he was clean he started to set a camp up for the night. He had been traveling non-stop since he'd escaped. It had been a day almost. It was starting to get dark, so he found him some good logs and used them to start a fire, and from there he made him a stew from the rabbit he'd caught early this morning. He just watched the fire in thought as he cleaned the rabbit hide off. He would use it later for something. Once he had enough hides, he would probably make himself a fur lined cloak or something of that nature.
He looked up to the sky in thought. He hated the quiet. At least when he and Tatianna had shared a cell they'd been able to talk. Now he didn't have anyone except for the horse to talk to. The horse was happily laying down, grazing on a small patch of grass next to it though, so Valentine just sat in his silence and watched the fire as he tended to the stew.
